Ich gehe mal davon aus, dass viele hier vom Update schon bescheid wissen. Wenn nicht, hier ein deutscher Artikel darber oder um dies den Anderen, die es noch nicht nutzen, geschmackvoll zu machen.

Unfortunately, I can no longer use Microsoft Copilot as a web panel in for Desktop or on my mobile device in Vivaldi for Android. Microsoft is pushing users to use their app. This is so annoying because I really enjoyed using Copilot in the browser. Big Tech is doing Big Tech things again.

When I don't have a laptop with me, I sometimes do server admin stuff using my smartphone. It's a reasonably secure phone because it runs a hardened Android distribution called . Or so I thought. Shoddy apps can of course violate your security and privacy on any operating system.

As a matter of fact, I once set up a Mastodon server via SSH using my smartphone as a terminal. My terminal app of choice is it almost feels like Debian Gnu/Linux.

Today I found out that the developers do not care about their users' privacy: They put Google's DNS resolvers as defaults into their app and do tell their users about it. Which means that until today, Google learnt about each hostname I resolved in Termux, although I had configured my smartphone to use a . The Termux developers were alerted to this bug by but chose not to do anything about it.

Someone wrote a to correct this. But it requires special permissions you can only grant via ADB. So I just used a text editor to replace Google's DNS resolvers with privacy-respecting ones gleaned from 's recommendations in my first link: editor /data/data/com.termux/files/usr/etc/resolv.conf

Samba Jarju, student ondernemerschap & retail management bij de Hogeschool Rotterdam, is met zijn schuldhulp-app Paywatch genomineerd voor de Innovatie Top-100 van de KVK. Dit is een prijs om vernieuwend ondernemerschap in de spotlight te zetten. De app helpt mensen hun financile situatie weer op orde te krijgen. 

Samen met medeoprichter Hadja Mariama Sesay ontwikkelde hij een app. Het doel van de app is schulden voorkomen of niet verder laten escaleren. Dit kan je doen door in de app alle openstaande rekeningen op een plek te verzamelen en te sorteren op prioriteit. Ook kan je de app direct verbinden met je bankrekening waardoor je precies je inkomsten en uitgaven kan zien en dit netjes en overzichtelijk wordt bijgehouden. 

De winnaar wordt bepaald aan de hand van jury- en publieksstemmen. Je kunt tot en met 19 oktober  op Paywatch. Tijdens de KVK ondernemersdagen op 13 november worden de winnaars bekend gemaakt.

• 23-09-2026 Een aantal medewerkers van het Instituut Sociale Opleidingen (ISO) en het Kenniscentrum Talentontwikkeling (KCTO) roept collegas en studenten op om zaterdag samen met hen mee te lopen in de Rotterdam Pride March.
