Gedanken Warum Webapps bei Sozialen Netzwerken kein Ersatz fr normale Apps sind
Ich bekam schon von ein paar Menschen zu hren das man doch keine App fr Seite XYZ bentigt und die Weboberflche doch responsibel und gut fr Smartphones und Tablets angepasst sei. Das stimmt bei Webseiten mit wenig Interaktion durchaus, aber nicht bei sozialen Netzwerken oder auch Foren bei denen es viel Interaktion gibt und wo jeder Verlust der Verbindung bei einer Webseite ziemlich nervig sein kann. Hier mal die Dinge die mir bei einer App als Vorteil gegenber einer reinen Weboberflche einfallen:
- Vollstndige Integration ins jeweilige Betriebssystem inkl. der Nutzung von Wischgesten etc.
- Es knnen auch Beitrge/PNs verfasst werden wenn man keine Verbindung hat.
- Wenn die App regelmig im Hintergrund die Beitrge herunterldt, knnen diese auch betrachtet werden wenn man offline ist.
- Man ist nicht so stark von der Latenz der jeweils bestehenden Verbindung abhngig
Natrlich sollte die App auch die Mglichkeiten und Eigenheiten der Webseite widerspiegeln. So kann man z. B. Macroblogging Friendica Instanzen durchaus mit Apps die hauptschlich fr Microblogginsdienstes wie Mastodon gedacht sind nutzen. Allerdings verliert man dadurch einen groen Teil der Funktionalitt und die Vorteile eines Macrobloggingdienstes.
