Aguascalientes pone fin al contrato de APP para modernizar el alumbrado pblico
El Cabildo de Aguascalientes aprob concluir de manera anticipada el contrato de Asociacin Pblico-Privada para la modernizacin del alumbrado pblico, al considerar que el municipio cuenta con capacidad para operar el servicio.

El Ayuntamiento de Aguascalientes aprob en Sesin Extraordinaria de Cabildo la terminacin anticipada del contrato de Asociacin Pblico-Privada (APP) para el proyecto de modernizacin del sistema de alumbrado pblico, al determinar que el municipio dispone de la infraestructura y capacidad operativa para asumir directamente la prestacin del servicio.
La decisin implica concluir el contrato celebrado con MD Iluminacin Nacional S.A. de C.V., bajo el argumento de que las condiciones actuales permiten al gobierno municipal realizar las labores de mantenimiento y operacin del alumbrado con recursos propios.
El objetivo, seal la administracin municipal, es garantizar un servicio ms eficiente para mejorar la iluminacin y la visibilidad en avenidas, colonias y fraccionamientos, adems de optimizar el uso de los recursos pblicos.
Municipio fortalecer la operacin directa
De acuerdo con el Cabildo, al dejar de requerirse los servicios contemplados en el contrato, ser posible reorientar el gasto al fortalecimiento directo del sistema de alumbrado pblico, en apego a los principios de eficiencia, eficacia y economa establecidos en la Constitucin.
La medida tambin busca cumplir las metas previstas en el Programa 3.2.1 del Plan de Desarrollo Municipal 2024-2027, orientadas a mejorar los servicios pblicos municipales.
Inversin fortaleci la capacidad operativa
El gobierno municipal inform que entre 2024 y 2025 destin ms de 24 millones de pesos para fortalecer la Secretara de Servicios Pblicos, lo que permiti ampliar su capacidad operativa.
Como parte de esa inversin, la dependencia cuenta actualmente con 17 gras con canastilla, 13 vehculos para recorridos, adems de personal especializado y herramientas para realizar trabajos preventivos y correctivos en la red de alumbrado pblico.
Las autoridades consideraron que estas condiciones hacen innecesaria la continuidad del esquema de Asociacin Pblico-Privada, al estimar que el municipio puede atender de forma directa las necesidades del sistema de iluminacin.
Buscan mejorar el servicio para la poblacin
El Ayuntamiento indic que la operacin directa permitir responder con mayor rapidez a los reportes ciudadanos y fortalecer el mantenimiento de la infraestructura de alumbrado en distintos puntos del municipio.
