I cannot say this is the best paddle we have ever done, but it did give us an idea of the lie of the land - or flow of the river. At low tide there is a lot of mud around, and the river being quite muddy, makes it hard to find a deep channel. Mangrove Creek is probably much nicer further up.

There is a small concrete slip and a floating pontoon, so it’s an easy place to launch. There’s a steep pot-holed rough road to take you down to the river.
